The Last Fight.
VNAF's final battle and casualties of the Vietnam war.
Throughout the night of 29 April 1975 an AC-119K from the 821st TINH-LONG Squadron, had lonely defended the Tan-Son-Nhut perimeter. At daybreak, it landed at the airbase to re-arm and fuel. The AC-119K took off again for the last time from TSN, this time joined by two A-1 Skyraider of the 23ed Tactical Wing from Bien-Hoa AFB. Together they had fought the last VNAF battle before Sai-Gon was about to descent into a communist hellish era. These men had fulfilled above and beyond their duty call, they had paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
